I had this app for a couple of years and actually was able to redeem one iTunes card. Then I had so much trouble with their app and actually qualifying for and completing surveys that I just quit. When I gave it another try a while later my account had been locked and I had to get it reinstated. I still never qualified for any surveys and the app crashed constantly. I thought I would try again recently and I was locked out again. When I contacted support they respond like they don’t even have an app (like they NEVER MENTIONED THE APP AT ALL) and I was asked very invasive questions even about what internet provider I used. I felt most of the info they asked for was unnecessary to just get my account unlocked. They reinstated my account with a “warning” but I still have no idea why I got a warning or what it could be about? I logged back in and found all my earnings (I had $7.50 accrued) was missing. I went back to the email thread I had and asked where my funds went and I have received no response. I finally just deleted this the other day because I’m sick of fighting with it. Don’t waste your time. I wish I could give less than one star. But I did at least redeem one card (but it took forever to earn enough to get it) so I guess one star is fair.
Technical difficulties: During our testing, the contents of our music library disappeared. We did not have any content downloaded from iTunes in the library, but all previous references to past purchases in the library were gone, and Genius-based iTunes purchase recommendations disappeared, which is still kind of alarming. Our playlists remained intact, from which we could download individual tracks, and going to the Account menu and clicking on Purchased showed everything we’ve ever bought. But there’s no bulk method to restore your media from the cloud to your computer. If you have a large library, the tools within the app are impractical.

Occupy the labels: “The music business is like the rest of society: the top 1 percent steals more from the majority than the ‘criminals.’ Piracy is not what is hurting the artists the most, nor has it ever been. The structure of the music industry is the real culprit.”

So, with smartphones becoming everyone’s primary source of media consumption, what is the next best thing after a good pair of wired headphones? The answer is a good pair of Bluetooth headphones and Zakk has two offerings that provide great sound quality at an affordable price. There is no denying that Bluetooth headphones are much more convenient and truly wireless earbuds have become really popular.
iTunes will detect any CD that you insert in your device. It’ll look up its information and ask if you’d like to import the CD. iTunes supports multiple formats, including AAC, WAV, Apple Lossless, AIFF, and MP3.

Getting free music on the Internet has been easy since at least the debut of Napster in 1999. Getting that music in a way that doesn’t deprive artists of pay for their work was harder. Luckily, in the last few years tons of authorized websites and apps offering free music have popped up to make sure we’re never out of new songs.

These options are pretty much the legal limit when it comes to obtaining free music on iTunes. As you see, iTunes doesn’t have a huge selection of items to pick up for free, but at least it still has a selection. Podcasts will usually give you the most variety, and if you’re listening to a capable host (say, one of the DJs, such as David Guetta or John Digweed), it’s almost as good as having the song files–and it doesn’t expose you to legal risk.
Unlike other offerings from Apple’s music store, where songs cost 99 cents, everything on iTunes U is free. Penn State University offers instruction on information management. Users can download a general chemistry class from Seattle Pacific University, a lecture on the psychosocial aspects of health care from Northeastern University or a class on Ben Franklin from Stanford University. (No universities in the Washington area participate.)
