While some people complain that iTunes does too much and is bloated, it’s still a fast, efficient, and well organised media library. The movie and TV areas feel somewhat underdeveloped compared to music, but elsewhere iTunes excels. As a place to keep your music collection, it’s reliable and really useful. With the addition of Apple Music, iTunes is pretty much the complete package.

Mobile music has been important to consumers since the Sony Walkman. Some digital services charge for mobile as a premium service. Michael Robertson, founder of MP3.com and current CEO of DAR.fm, criticized the industry’s separation of mobile and desktop services: “One of the big hurdles has been the industry’s view that mobile is different than desktop. Spotify, Rdio, Xbox Music — these have most every song in the modern library. On the PC, it’s free with ads, but when it comes to mobile, you’ve got to get out your credit card. That has stunted access.”
With iTunes, users can organize their media content easily through a virtual media library. This can be shared over a closed local network. User playlists can also be set up in whatever way they want. iTunes will also provide information about the media content introduced in the library, as well as cloud backup to prevent loss of content. iTunes lets users multi-task as well. For example, users can listen to music while look for apps in the ITunes store.

I had this app for a couple of years and actually was able to redeem one iTunes card. Then I had so much trouble with their app and actually qualifying for and completing surveys that I just quit. When I gave it another try a while later my account had been locked and I had to get it reinstated. I still never qualified for any surveys and the app crashed constantly. I thought I would try again recently and I was locked out again. When I contacted support they respond like they don’t even have an app (like they NEVER MENTIONED THE APP AT ALL) and I was asked very invasive questions even about what internet provider I used. I felt most of the info they asked for was unnecessary to just get my account unlocked. They reinstated my account with a “warning” but I still have no idea why I got a warning or what it could be about? I logged back in and found all my earnings (I had $7.50 accrued) was missing. I went back to the email thread I had and asked where my funds went and I have received no response. I finally just deleted this the other day because I’m sick of fighting with it. Don’t waste your time. I wish I could give less than one star. But I did at least redeem one card (but it took forever to earn enough to get it) so I guess one star is fair.
You can also browse and buy from the iTunes store. Here you can find music, podcasts, and video, plus anything you purchase is immediately available from any device where you sign into iTunes with your Apple account.

While Rodgers went on to form Peace and Fraser founded Toby, Kossoff and Kirke teamed with bassist Tetsu Yamauchi and keyboardist John “Rabbit” Bundrick to record the album Kossoff, Kirke, Tetsu and Rabbit. When none of these new projects proved successful, the original lineup of Free re-formed to record 1972’s Free at Last, which launched the hit “Little Bit of Love.” However, drug problems nagged the group, as Kossoff’s longtime battle with heroin continued to worsen; soon Fraser exited to form Sharks with Chris Spedding, leaving Rodgers and Kirke to record the majority of 1973’s Heartbreaker while a drug-addled Kossoff watched from the sidelines. Soon, the group disbanded again, this time for good: while Rodgers and Kirke went on to found Bad Company, Kossoff formed Back Street Crawler before dying of a drug-induced heart attack on March 19, 1976. ~ Jason Ankeny
